ARTICLE I – Name, Purpose, Meetings and Awards

Section 1: Name

This club shall be called "Texas Hill Country Bass Club"

Section 2: Purpose

A: To have fun, enjoy and promote the sport of bass fishing.

B: To share knowledge and information.

C: promote good sportsmanship and set a good example for all other

fishermen and fisherwomen.

D: To conserve and preserve our natural resources.

Section 3 Meetings

A: Club meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm

At 832 Sidney Baker in Kerrville TX 78028 until such time that a new location

can be chosen.

Section 4 Awards

A: The club will provide the following end of the year awards.

1: Big Bass (Fiberglass replica)

2: Angler of the year.

3: Most improved

ARTICLE II - Membership

Section 1: Membership Requirements

A: Must be at least 18 years of age unless a parent, grandparent or legal

Guardian is an active member in good standing. Then minimum age will be

16 years of age for adult division.

B: Applicants must express an interest in club membership. Then must be

recognized by two members in good standing at a regular club meeting. Club

dues will then be paid.

C: New members after a two month probation period will be voted in by a

secret ballet of 2/3 vote of membership at that meeting. If not voted in

all of applicants money for due is refunded.

D: New members must attend all meetings in the probation period. With

The exception of one month will be granted due to extenuating circumstances.

During this time prospective member cannot vote on club business.

E: Dues must be paid in full before first tournament of the year is fished. If

not paid person or persons will need to be re-voted in. New member’s dues will

be pro-rated after the 4 month of the fiscal year.

Section 2: Membership Dues

A: Membership dues shall be $50.00 annually. And shall cover all house hold

Members, (wife and children)

B: Fiscal year is September to September.

C: Dues are due September meeting.

D: All dues go into general fund for club business

ARTICLE III – Officers, Elections, Vacancies, and Eligibility to hold office

Section 1: Eligibility To Hold Office

A: Must be a member in good standing for at least 6 months.

B: Must have attended 75% of club functions during the year.

C: Except for start up of club.

Section 2: Elections

A: The elections will be held at the last regular meeting of September

And new officers will take office at first meeting of October.

B: All elections will be on a simple majority of the membership present.

C: Each member of the club in good standing is entitled to one vote. Proxy

Votes are not permitted.

Section 3: Term In Office

A: The term of officers is for one fiscal year unless re-voted in for another year

There are no term limits.

Section 4: Vacancies

A: In event of an office becomes vacant Officers will appoint a member for

The remainder of the year if not a officer may be ask to fill 2 positions for the

remainder of that fiscal year.

Section 5: Officers and their Duties

The officers of the chapter shall consist of:

A: PRESIDENT: Preside over all meetings and direct all official business.

Appoint and be an ex officio member of all committees. Supervise all clubs

Functions.

B: VICE PRESIDENT: Act as club programs chairman. Assist the President

In his or hers duties and preside in the absence of the President and will

Be a permanent tournament director.

C: SECRETARY: Maintain accurate minutes of all regular and special

Meetings as called for by the club President.

D: TREASURER: Collect and disburse all monies. Maintain accurate financial

Records and present a current balance report at each regular meeting.

Prepare an annual audit for review by the club board of directors.

E: CLUB CONSERVATION OFFICER: Serve as liaison between the club and

State and national conservation agencies. Plan club conservation projects and

Will serve as Lake Researcher and adviser for 6 lakes to bring to the club

meeting where the club will then pick 4 lakes for 3 months 3lakes 1 backup.

F: CLUB YOUTH DIRECTOR: Organize all youth activities and programs and

Start a junior angler’s club when the club is ready for this participation.

H: CORRIDNATOR: This job is to coordinate hotels and help with setting up

Activities of the club.

ARTICLE IV - Disciplinary actions

Section 1: Removal of Membership

A: Membership shall be dropped for the following reasons:

1: Failure to pay dues.

2: Any action which would dishonor and disgrace on the club.

3: Disqualification for any reason from participating in sponsored events

Including disqualification for the use of illegal drugs or alcohol.

Section 2: Actions other then removal of membership

A: These actions shall be recommended by the Officer and board of directors

And shall include but not limited to reduction of membership status in lieu

Of removal, or any other action felt necessary by the board. Any action

Recommended by the Board and not spelled out in this document shall require

A 2/3 vote of the Board of Directors.

Section 3: Membership Recall

Any membership can be recalled by a 2/3 majority vote of the membership

at any time for any reason.

ARTICLE V By laws

A: By laws may be added to during the year.

1: Submitted in writing at meeting, discussed and voted on by 2/3 majority at next meeting.

B: Amendments to by laws.

1: Submitted in writing by August, discussed and voted on by 2/3 majority at September meeting.

ARTICLE VI- SCALES

Scales owned by David Springer and will be leased by the club for $10.00 a year

The club is responsible for all damage, upkeep and maintenance of scales. If for any

Reason David Springer leaves the club the club has 1 year to buy their own.

ARTICLE VII- TOURNAMENTS

A: The Texas Hill Country Bass Club will have 11 tournaments per calendar year. There will not be a tournament in December. There may be only one paper tournament per year. This tournament when held will but not count on your official yearend totals and will be for bragging rights and pay out only. The tournament will be known as The Biggest Liar Tournament.

B: The final tournament will be known as THE CHARLES HAUCK MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT.

C: 3 month rule applies on all tournaments.

D: 30 day off limits (on final only) No one is allowed on that lake for 30 days.

E: To qualify (on final only) a member must do- 1 function, 6 tournaments, and 7 meeting.

ARTICLE VIII – DISSOLVING THE CLUB

A: If the club decides to dissolve. Must be voted on with all membership present,(cool heads prevail).

B: A 2/3 vote is required.

C: All club debts are to be paid with all end funds to be sent to clubs main recipient

of charity. (red cross, pathways or salvation army)
